Basic Measurements

The user can perform basic measurements by drawing contours on the image (i.e. line for distances, free drawn ROI for area). The values are displayed at the bottom of the image. For the contour drawing/editing the cursor also indicates the current mode by its shape.

User interaction contours:

  • contour drawing (held left mouse button)
  • contour selection (double click)
  • easy contour editing (left mouse button for selected contour)
  • contour copy/paste/delete/forward to slice
  • unlimited undo/redo history

Sub-pixel measurement and contour types

For measurements of distances, areas and signal intensities every pixel is divided into n x n sub-pixels (default is n = 4, 16 sub-pixels) and the drawing of contours is done on this sub-pixel matrix. With this approach cmr42 provides true accuracy and control of the user ("what you see is what you get").

Available contour types

Distances are measured by using the line tool. Defining irregular regions of interest by the ROI tool provides data on area as well as mean/max/min/median signal intensity including standard deviation.
